About Us
Hi, I’m Annie Bennett, the founder of The Chronicles of Hope, which I started following my cancer diagnosis in July 2024. My daughters, Heather and Elfie, were an incredible source of strength during that time, and as the weeks passed, I began to think about the countless other young adults facing similar challenges—many of whom might not have the support they need.
We are going to be setting up The Chronicles Of Hope CIC, in order to fulfil our three missions:
1. Provide emotional and financial support for young adults in the UK, whose parent has been diagnosed with a life limiting illness.
2. Facilitate memory making experiences for these young adults and their families
3. Host social events to help people connect and feel less alone during challenging times.

We understand self care is something people generally struggle with when going through a tough time. With the money we raise we hope to be able to pay for services that can help people around the house such as cleaning and gardening. We also would like to support young adults with counselling and general life advice. We also aim to organise social events for young people to connect with others.

We know that young adults can suffer with financial difficulty when caring for a parent or carer. This may be because they are having to take time off work to take them to appointments and maybe spending money on transport to be able to do this. We would like to be able to provide financial advice and support to those who need it.

We would like to put on events and fundraisers to raise money for our work, we have previously worked with Eastbourne Operatic and Dramatic Society which raised enough money to kick-start our website and it got the word out about our charity.
