The Annie’s August Calendar was created to celebrate hope and community, inspired by our love of sunflowers and the idea of bringing people together. It started as a small project, the brainchild of one of our directors, the fabulous PR guru Nicola Rowley, and quickly grew into a collection of beautiful images from participants across the country.
In March, we started selling sunflower seeds, encouraging people to grow their own sunflowers. We also asked our supporters to share with us photos taken of sunflowers during the summer. Then, in July, we had the idea of creating a calendar, so we could share all the fabulous photos… and raise money for The Chronicles Of Hope.
We had 73 entries… and are delighted that not only are our twelve winners featured in the months of 2026… but all other entries can be found on the extra page…January 2027.
A huge thank you to all who entered photographs, and all the sunflower fields across the country who shared our competition flyers with their visitors.
